Hilo’s Toby Misech will take on Erik Perez in a bantamweight main card bout at Friday’s Bellator 235: Salute the Troops event at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.

The main card will be broadcast on Paramount Network beginning at 5 p.m.

Perez is making his Bellator debut after going 7-2 in the UFC.

The 31-year-old Misech – who is 11-7 in his mixed martial arts pro career and 2-2 in Bellator – is coming off a loss to Eduardo Dantas at February’s Bellator 215 and enters as the underdog.

He he told MMA Junkie: “Every single guy I fight, I’m always the underdog. It’s fine. It just makes me more motivated. It makes me feel like I have something to prove. If I lose, I was expected to lose. If I win, I shock the world.”

Also fighting on the main card is Hilo’s Chris Cisneros (19-10), who takes on Joey Davis (6-0) in a welterweight bout.
