Sueko Arakawa, 92, of Pahoa died Nov. 27 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center in Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired anthurium packer for Big Rock Anthurium and member of Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Pahoa Higashi Machi Kumiai and Pahoa Nikkei Jin Kai. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sons, Wayne (Denise) Arakawa of Honolulu and Glenn (Erin) Arakawa of Hilo; daughters, Gail Fujimoto of Hilo and Edna (James Chestnut) Arakawa of Volcano; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Rose Molly Butler, 91, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 24 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Rochester, N.Y., she was a retired real estate broker and president of Ocean View Seniors group. Belle Augusta Churchill, 66, of Ocean View died Dec. 7 in Kealakekua. Born in Provo, Utah, she worked as a trainer at the former Borders Books. Private services. Jerry Kazuto Kubo, 82, of Waimea died Nov. 1. Born in South Kona, he was a retired Honokaa Elementary and High School teacher. Iwao Nagata, 95, of Hilo died Nov. 27 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired maintenance supervisor for the county Department of Public Works carpenter shop (Schultz Siding), U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.
