Police are seeking leads on a 31-year-old Puna man they described as “armed and dangerous.”

According to a Tuesday morning statement, Kamanaokaaina “Mana” Nakooka is wanted for questioning in connection with an early Monday evening shooting on 15th Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park that hospitalized a 41-year-old man.

Nakooka is described as part-Hawaiian, 5-foot-11 inches tall, 260 pounds with heavy build, black hair and brown eyes.

Police say the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and remains in stable condition.

Police caution the public not to approach Nakooka who is considered armed and dangerous.
