Hawaii Photo Shooters members Nancy Chaney and Pat Richardson will discuss “Underwater Photography” during an event at 6 p.m. Sept. 12 in Room D-202 at the University of Hawaii Komohana Research and Extension Center in Hilo.

Chaney will discuss underwater photography using a GoPro camera while on a recent visit to Palau.

She will give a brief introduction to editing and completing a video composed of short clips by using the GoPro software.

She also will talk about how to upload and share videos to YouTube.

Richardson will show photos and a few video clips taken at Hawaii Island reefs.

She also will share a fish tale or two about individual animals she has encountered while doing reef fish surveys for the past 15 years.

The talk is free and open to the public.
