Edward Ikaku Awa, 85, of Middle Keei died June 30 at Tripler Army Medical Center. Born in South Kona, he was a U.S. Army retired chief warrant officer. Celebration of life noon Saturday, Aug. 17, at Big Game Fishing Clubhouse at Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona. Inurnment with military honors 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Casual attire; flowers welcome.
