Born in Puyallup, Wash., he was an artist, designer and events coordinator in Hawaii’s fashion and pageant industry, president of University of Hawaii at Manoa special events art gallery, co-founder of 2Couture, a design and special events company, mentor and life coach for many successful actors and models, employee of the former Waiakea Village resort in Hilo and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ainaola Ward. Memorial service and celebration of life from 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hawaii Kai, 219 Lunalilo Home Road in Honolulu. John De Conte Jr., 92, of Laupahoehoe died May 22 in Hilo.
