Abjang Ebot, 79, of Kona, died on June 18 at home. Born in Marshall Islands, he was a pastor and member of BNJ Marshallese First International Church. Visitation and all-night vigil from 9 a.m. Friday, July 5, at BNJ Marshallese First International Church 74-5596 Pawai Pl. in Kailua-Kona. Visitation again 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, for funeral service. Burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Juliette “Julie” Ann Medeiros, 81, of Mountain View died June 23 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Pepeekeo. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Wednesday (July 3) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Eugene “Skip” Barton Penrose, 83, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 2 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in San Diego, he was a taxi driver in Alaska, life member of Elks Club, member of Shriners, and veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Graveside service noon Monday (July 1) at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire.
