The Hawaii Island Veterans Memorial Inc. board hosted its birthday bash and retirement event June 22. Hawaii County Mayor Harry Kim presented an award from the board to retiring chairman Bob Williams for his 20 years of service. Williams also celebrated his 80th birthday that day.
