It’s hard for youth baseball coaches to single out one player, but Atiz made the job a little easier for the coaching staff of Hilo Little League’s district champion 10-under team.
After Hilo beat West Side twice Sunday to reach the state tournament, coach Che Doran liked Atiz for this honor for his ability on the field and “to keep a positive attitude and cheer on the team no matter the circumstances.”
“An outstanding young man and will be a great baseball player to watch in the future,” Doran said.
