Do you love to sing?

Are you nervous about being on stage or getting in front of an audience?

Perhaps you’re simply yearning for the spotlight?

Hawaii Performing Arts Festival’s acclaimed Lifelong Singer Program is a musical experience like few others. Participants immerse themselves in the power of music during five days of studying and performance.

They have the opportunity to work with a roster of world-class faculty artists including Justin John Moniz, Val Underwood, Paul Floyd, Jennifer McGregor, James Harrington, Bill Christensen, Tina Chang and Phil Kadet.

The program takes place June 19-23 at Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Waimea.

Master classes and workshops will address vocal technique and interpretation, performance anxiety, stage etiquette, acting and movement, classical, jazz, popular music and more.

Participants come from all walks of life and bring a wealth of experiences to the program — some having never sung at all and others who sang on tour with professional rock bands, church choirs and a cappella groups.

Alums traveled from as far as Sweden and as near as Waimea to participate in this unique program.

This year’s program, “Peaking Through the Cracks,” will allow participants to explore how to perform at their maximum potential, using self-identified shortcomings and technical issues to assist in their own uniquely stylized and captivating performances.

There are two tracks again this season — full participant or program auditor. To learn more about the programs or to register, visit www.hawaiiperformingartsfestival.org/lifelong-singer-program/.

Registration closes June 15.
