KAILUA-KONA — There was something for everyone at the Kona Orchid Society’s Annual Show and Sale on May 10-11.
An array of orchids, along with dragon fruit plants, protea plants and flowers, air plants, heliconias, herbs, fruit trees, succulents and more filled Makaeo Pavilion at Old Kona Airport Park in Kailua-Kona. A nice selection of craft vendors also was present.
Prize-winning orchids were on display, enticing shoppers to snap a photo with their cellphones. Instructional workshops were conducted for those who might not have the greenest of thumbs.
