Na Wai Chamber Choir invites the Big Island to take a musical journey that honors the music of historic and modern day mana wahine centered around the mo‘olelo of Hi‘iaka!

Based in Honolulu, Na Wai Chamber Choir is a professional vocal ensemble that preserves, propagates and innovates the legacy of Hawaiian choral music. Hilo native Jace Kaholokula Saplan will lead the ensemble on its annual kauwela tour.

Tour concert times and dates are:

• 7:30 p.m. today (May 11), First United Protestant Church, 1350 Waianuenue Ave., Hilo.

• 11:30 a.m. Sunday, May 12, Kauaha‘ao Congregational Church, 95-1642 Pinao St., Waiohinu, Ka‘u.

• 6 p.m. Monday, May 13, Hawaiian Cultural Center of Hamakua, 6904, 45-3490 Mamane St., Suite B, Honokaa.

• 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, Kilauea Visitor Center Auditorium, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Admission is free for all concerts. Donations are welcome.
