Barbara J. Foster, 88, of Hilo died April 15 in Hilo. Born in Sturgis, Mich., she was a retired school teacher and member of Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church. Service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, April 29, at Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park Lehua Section. Survived sons, Kelvin (Kim) Foster of Clearwater, Fla., Melvin Foster of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Clarence Bruce Foster of Hilo; brother, Robert (Judy) Maxson of Nicaragua; one granddaughter. John Leonard Gerkensmeyer, 67, of Pahoa died April 13 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Redwood City, Calif., he was a cabinet maker and avid musician. Private services. Survived by wife, Diana Gerkensmeyer of Pahoa; sons, Benjamin (Rachael) Gerkensmeyer of Ocean View, Kelly Gerkensmeyer of Arnold, Calif., Sean Gerkensmeyer of Sacramento, Calif., and Michael Gerkensmeyer of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, three brothers, eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Noble Ka‘ohu Kahumoku, 80, of Kailua-Kona died April 14 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kona, he was a security officer at the Kona police station, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Visitation 8:30 a.m. May 3 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kailua-Kona. Memorial service 9:30 a.m. followed by interment with military honors at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Danielle Scudder, 74, of Laupahoehoe died April 4 in Hawaii. Born in San Francisco, she was a radiological technologist, nuclear medicine technologist and bone densitometry technologist and worked at Hilo Hospital, North Hawaii Community Hospital and Hawaii Radiological Associates, as well as for Dr. Lyn Lam and Dr. John Dawson. She also worked as a bus driver for Seattle Transit and Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council in Honokaa. Private services. Burial to be in Seattle at a later date. Survived by friend, Karen Heidenfeldt of Laupahoehoe; nephew, Emanuel Rodriguez of Seattle. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

The late Ernesto Chiuco Enriquez is survived by, among others, his wife, Maria Fe Enriquez of Waikoloa, and sons, Val Enriquez and Emerson (Mylene) Enriquez of Waikoloa. Incorrect information was submitted for an obituary published Saturday.
