Wintry weather continues for the summits of Maunakea and Mauna Loa.

A winter weather advisory is in place for both summits until 6 p.m. as snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected. The Maunakea Access Road remained closed Friday morning.

On Maui, the summit of Haleakala could see accumulations of 1 inch.

A high surf advisory also remains in effect for east-facing shores through this afternoon.

Surf of 10 to 14 feet is possible, with strong breaking waves, shore break and currents making swimming dangerous.
