‘Concocting stories’

Your front-page article (by the Associated Press) and headline on Lt. Gov. Josh Green’s appointment of Brooke Wilson as chief of staff is a huge kerfuffle over nothing.

Green named an individual whose resumé indicates she’s highly qualified for the post she’s to hold. Yes, she supported him in his campaign. Is he supposed to appoint only people who backed his opponents?

I am deeply disappointed that the Tribune-Herald is concocting stories for the sole apparent purpose of discrediting a newly elected official.

There is far too much distrust of our government as it is. Going out of the way to manufacture more is unnecessary, destructive and basically dishonest.

Nothing but a hoax

Fred Fogel’s letter (Tribune-Herald, Your Views) on the carbon tax is spot on.

Our governor is a big fan of climate change and decided to follow the Paris accord, while the smart money got out of that game.

President Trump got us out of that bogus deal, and it looks like he did the right thing. The riots in Paris are all about the high price of gasoline caused by high carbon taxes, oui, oui.

One of the commissioners mentioned the carbon tax is better than our roads under water? The current route of the rail project in Honolulu goes through sections that will be under water, should these dire predictions come true, yet they have not changed the route to higher ground.

Could it be they don’t really believe that the seas will rise? Well, the seas won’t rise, and the only thing that will rise will be the tax on gasoline and other fuels, oui, oui.

Global warming, also known as climate change, is nothing more than a massive wealth and power grab that will do nothing but cost everyone more money, and it is based on political science and has nothing to do with real science. Tens of thousands of real scientists don’t believe it and don’t believe it will cause harm — check out the Global Warming Petition Project.

The climate change people always talk about a “consensus” of scientists believing in it. Well, at one time, a consensus of scientists also believed that the world was flat, and that Earth was the center of the universe, and everything revolved around us.

Galileo thought that the Earth was not the center of the galaxy; he was a denier, and the church went after him, just like the church of climate change goes after deniers today, not with facts, but with threats. Don’t fall for the global warming climate change hoax. It’s nothing more than bad science.
