Waiakea keiki fun run Saturday

Waiakea High is hosting the 13th annual Healthy Keiki Fun Run at 9 a.m. Saturday at Ken Yamase Memorial Stadium.

This 1,500-meter race encourages keiki grades kindergarten through sixth to try their best and live a healthy lifestyle.

The event begins with registration at 8 a.m. and there will be refreshments and games as well.

Entry forms are available at the school’s main office.

Hilo Little League draft

Hilo Little League will hold its annual draft for boys and girls ages 8-18 on Dec. 16 at Walter Victor complex.

Children interested in playing are highly encouraged to come out and participate in this fun event.

Draft times:

Ages 8-12, 9 a.m.

Ages 8-18, 9:30 a.m.

Ages 13-18, 10:30 a.m.

Come dressed in practice attire, including protective gear and bring your bat, glove and water.

Pirates T-ball registration

The Waiakea Pirates youth baseball organization is looking for boys and girls ages 5-6 who are interested in learning the fundamentals of baseball and to play on their T-ball team.
