Boys &Girls Club of the Big Island’s Kealakehe Club was selected as the upcoming beneficiary of the Ohana Fuels ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ program.

Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of a community and donates a portion of the proceeds from every gallon of gasoline purchased at its stations in that community. Through Dec. 31, a portion of all gas sales at Big Island Ohana Fuels locations will be donated to Boys &Girls Club of the Big Island.

“We encourage our Hawaii Island community to purchase gas from Ohana Fuels,” said Chad Cabral, BGCBI’s CEO. “Every gallon of gas purchased at Ohana Fuels benefits the youth members of our Kealakehe Club in West Hawaii. The more gas you buy, the more youth we can help.”

BGCBI has provided safe, fun, quality after-school youth care and enrichment for more than 66 years. It provides activities for keiki ages 6-18 in Hilo, Keaau, Pahala, Pahoa, Ocean View and Kealakehe.

“We are excited to announce we will be partnering with Boys &Girls Club of the Big Island as the third quarter beneficiary of our ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ program.” said Kimo Haynes, president of Hawaii Petroleum. “Boys &Girls Club of the Big Island provides a great service to the youth and families in our community, and we look forward to offering them, and other deserving organizations, continued support through our ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ program in the future.”

Ohana Fuels is Hawaii Petroleum’s retail fuel brand. There are 11 Ohana Fuels stations on the Big Island.
