The Lyman Museum in Hilo will offer free admission Nov. 12, to active duty and retired military personnel and their spouses, children and grandchildren in observance of Veterans Day.

“The Lyman Museum proudly supports our military and their families,” said Barbara Moir, the museum’s president and executive director. “As a special tribute and thank you to the men and women who serve or have served in our country’s armed forces (and to their families, who also ‘serve’), we are inviting them to visit the museum free of charge … .”

All that is required is for the military member to present any of the following three identification cards — the CAC, DD Form 1173/1173-1 or DD Form 2 — or a separate document, the DD Form 214.

The nationally accredited and Smithsonian-affiliated Lyman Museum is located at 276 Haili St.
