The skinny: The matchup marks the first time UH has opened a season at home under head coach Laura Beeman (seventh season).

Guard Julissa Tago is the team’s returning leading scorer from a year ago at 9.4 points per game. Forward Makenna Woodfolk returns as leading rebounder at 6.1 boards per game, and the third leading scorer (8.9).

The Waves are coming off a 10-20 campaign in Delisha Milton-Jones’ first year as coach.
