Ralph Albarado, 79, of Hilo died Sept. 29 in Hilo. He was born in Waimea, Kauai. Visitation 8 a.m. Nov. 8 at Ballard Family Moanalua Mortuary in Honolulu. Services at 9:15 a.m. Burial at 2 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) on Oahu.

Alexander “Alex” Balberde, 83, of Fairfax, Va., died May 26 at Fairfax Hospital. Born in Honomu, he grew up on the Big Island, was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s High School in Hilo and Santa Clara University in California and a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a helicopter pilot in Korea, Vietnam and Europe. Funeral services held. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors to be at a later date. Survived by wife, Diane; sons, Steve (Eileen), Mike, Jeff (Leigh) and Matt (Heather); six grandchildren.

Trineice C.R. Mancuso, 18, of Ocean View died Oct. 3 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Lebanon, Ore., she was a student at Ka‘u High School. Celebration of life 1:30 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 14) at Manuka State Park. Casual attire. Survived by mother, Shylynn Silva of Ocean View; father, Ian Mastin of Louisiana; sister, Lanissa Silva of Ocean View; numerous other family members. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Colleen Marie “Cali‘ana” Olof, 66, of Pahoa died Sept. 11 at home. Born in Nebraska, she was a seamstress and member of the Doll Collectors Club of East Hawaii. Potluck celebration of Cali‘ana noon-2 p.m. Oct. 20 at the farm house in Pahoa. Survived by sons, Michael Casey Merle of Waimea and Gabriel Merle of Kawaihae; companion, Ted Philips of Pahoa; sisters, Carol Hult of Kodiak, Alaska, and Diane Munter of Lincoln, Neb.; brother, David Hult of Lincoln; one granddaughter.

Brittney Uilani Helena Perry, 19, of Naalehu died Sept. 21 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo. Visitation 8–10 a.m. Oct. 20 at Naalehu Assembly of God Church. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by parents, Brandon Perry and Jennifer Segundo of Naalehu; sisters, Kiani Perry and Arabella Perry of Naalehu; paternal grandmother, Vanessa (Charles Kaawa) Gomes of Oahu; maternal grandmother, Cynthia (Dave) Barthel of Bakersfield, Calif.; maternal great-grandmother, Florence Segundo of Oahu; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Anne Marie Wainwright, 82, of Ocean View died Oct. 8 at home. Born in Zurich, Switzerland, she was a homemaker. Private service held. Survived by sons, Lance Wainwright and Derek Wainwright of Ocean View; brother, Carl Seiler of Switzerland; a granddaughter, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
