KEAUHOU — The 36th annual Kupuna Hula Festival culminated the night of Sept. 13 at the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou Bay with awards in six divisions: Tutu Kane, Tutu Wahine,Wahine, Kane, Hui Pu‘ia (or mixed group) and overall halau with the most points.

Tutu Wahine

1st Place – Sabine Maeva Andreser, Hale Kala‘akeakauikawekiu

2nd Place – Leona Puanani Bell Schroeder, Na Kupuna O Ka‘u

3rd Place – Sumiyo Ono, Hui O Mapuana’s Hula Nani’s

Tutu Kane

1st Place – Robert Keanaaina, Hale E Hulali Mai I Ka La

2nd Place – Winston Jamie, O Ka Hale Lokelani

3rd Place – Michael Scott Carius, Na Kupuna O Ka‘u

Wahine
