The state Department of Taxation said Wednesday a convicted felon surrendered to police in Hilo for tax, theft and computer fraud violations following a joint operation by police and tax department special agents.
Natasha Catriz was charged Aug. 7 with filing false and fraudulent tax returns, second-degree computer fraud, third-degree computer fraud, habitual property crime, attempted second-degree theft, attempted third-degree theft and two counts of third-degree theft.
The most severe charge, second-degree computer fraud, is a Class B felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.
