A temporary fire station was established in Volcano last week after the Volcano Fire Station had been relocated to Pahoa earlier in the month.

As of Wednesday, Aug. 15, the temporary station is now located at a residence at 19-4213 Haunani Road in Volcano, where it will remain until the U.S. Geological Survey and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park declare conditions to be safe enough to allow crews to return to their regular station at the Kilauea Military Camp within the park.

Earlier this month, Engine Company 19 was relocated to the Pahoa Fire Station, while Medic 19 was relocated to the Keaau Fire Station. Both companies are stationed at the Volcano residence.
