Police are investigating a dine-and-dash theft reported Wednesday evening at Ken’s House of Pancakes in Hilo.

At approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday, two unidentified women entered the restaurant and ordered food, police said. After they’d eaten dinner, both women allegedly left the restaurant without paying.

One woman is described as in her mid-50s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a heavy build. She had dark blond hair and large glasses and was wearing a pink dress and sandals.

The woman was described as in her mid-20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build. She had dark blond hair tied up in a bun and was wearing a black-and-white striped dress with sandals.

Anyone who knows the women or has information about the case is asked to call the police nonemergency number at 935-3311 or contact Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
