The flash flood warning is pau, but much of East Hawaii remains under a flood advisory.

The National Weather Service said the advisory will remain in effect until 5:30 p.m. for areas from Wood Valley to north of Hilo.

The weather service issued the warning earlier as thunderstorms drenched windward areas. Both Papaikou and Waiakea areas saw rainfall exceed 2 inches per hour.

The storm also brought a dusting of snow to Maunakea.
