“Songs of Joys and Struggles” is the theme of Pastor Eric A. Anderson’s benefit concert for Puna relief. The concert is slated for 7 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Church of the Holy Cross in Hilo.

Anderson’s tenor voice will be accompanied by his guitar and ukulele. Joining him will be choir director Rachel Edwards, church organist Kayleen Yuda and choir accompanist Kanako Okita. Anderson’s original compositions also will be featured, along with a healthy dose of “community sing-along.”

The concert is free, but a free-will calabash offering will be taken for the Puna relief effort.

The Church of the Holy Cross is located at 440 W. Lanikaula St.
