The next Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” free Brown Bag Lunch Talk is slated for noon-1 p.m. today at the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, 655 Kilauea Ave. in Hilo.

This monthly lunch-and-learn series features interesting speakers discussing topics related to communication, dispute prevention and resolution, and transforming conflict.

This month’s speaker is Dennis Soares, who will present “The Four Agreements: A Solution for Peace.”

“‘The Four Agreements,’ written by best-selling author Don Miguel Ruiz, reveals that self-limiting belief robs us of joy and creates needless suffering,” said Soares. “The message offers a powerful code of conduct that we can use to transform our lives to peace.”

During this discussion, learn what the four agreements are and how their use can create lasting peace and unity in our lives and communities.

Ku‘ikahi’s Brown Bag Lunch Series is open to the public and hosted the third Thursday of each month. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch and enjoy an informal and educational talk-story session while meeting others interested in “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace.”
