The county Department of Parks and Recreation announced Friday that Keikiland playground in Hilo is reopen.
The reopening follows the successful installation of a new playground safety surface, replacement of damaged and missing components and comprehensive cleaning.
The department thanks park users and the general public for their understanding and patience during the playground closure.
