Betty Lou De Sa, 85, of Pepeekeo died July 9 at home. Born in Pepeekeo, she was a homemaker, former religious education teacher, member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and former member of Portuguese Club. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Friday (July 27) at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Papaikou. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, section 5. Casual attire. Frank Earl Miller, 74, of Kailua-Kona died July 20 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Gary, Ind., he was a retired landscape designer, member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Mokuaikaua Church, Calvary Community Church and U.S. Army veteran. Graveside committal service noon Tuesday (July 24) at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire. Myron “Butch” Alexander Nachbar II, 73, of Volcano died July 15 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired foreign language teacher at St. Joseph Junior and Senior High School, Hilo High School, Kohala High and Elementary School and Honokaa High School, Peace Corps volunteer, Gonzaga University “Bulldog” alum, first president of the Portuguese Heritage Club of Hamakua and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Hawaii Island Retired Teachers Association. Visitation 8-9:45 a.m. Saturday (July 28) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Eulogy at 9:45 a.m. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Urn burial to follow in the church cemetery. Casual attire.
