The Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corps will provide free backpacks with school supplies for children grades K-6 of low-income families in Puna affected by the Kilauea eruption.

Families can register their children from noon-6 p.m. July 23 to receive the backpacks and the supplies they’ll need for the coming school year at a later date. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.
