Two men and two women were arrested Wednesday in a drug bust at a Waimea residence.
Two Waimea residents — 42-year-old Stacey Veincent and 24-year-old Mokihana Veincent — and two Puna residents — 56-year-old Larry Luis and 35-year-old Jamie Jason — were arrested Wednesday morning after police officers discovered what is thought to be a large quantity of suspected illegal substances at a residence off Puu Pohu Place in Waimea.
After executing a search warrant at about 8 a.m. Wednesday, officers found 51 grams of a substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine and 9 grams of marijuana, along with a loaded 40-caliber pistol and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Both Veincents were charged with first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, possession of prohibited weapons and possession of a firearm with intent to facilitate the commission of a felony.
Mokihana Veincent also was charged for improper registration of a firearm, while the elder Veincent received two charges of possession of a firearm while prohibited from doing so. Stacey Veincent also was arrested on two unrelated bench warrants.
Stacey Veincent’s bail was set at $200,000; Mokihana Veincent’s bail was set at $22,500.
Jason was arrested for promotion of a dangerous drug, and Luis was arrested for marijuana possession. Both were released pending further investigation.
