Richard Douglas Clark, 72, of Ocean View died June 9 at home. Born in Washington, Ind., he was an electrician, draftsman, jeweler, owner of South Point Rods, classic vehicle restorer and golfer. Memorial service noon Saturday, July 7, at his home, 92-8370 Tiki Lane, Ocean View. Survived by daughters, Kimber (Robert Rabelo) Clark of New Mexico, Jessica (Noel Sr.) Espejo and Monica Agpawa of Ocean View; son, N. David Clark of Roswell, N.M.; brothers, Ron Clark of Houston and Jeff (Renee) Clark of Austin, Texas; sister, Donna (Jim) Zelko of Houston; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Fukuichi “Red” Higa, 96, of Mountain View died June 3 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Mountain View, he was a retired engineering technician for the state Highways Division, U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Baldwin Kumiai, No Hu Hu Golf Club and HGEA Retirees Golf Club. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by wife, Masae Higa of Mountain View; daughter, Frances (Russell) Lum of Honolulu; sons, Randy (Audrey) Higa of Honolulu and Miles Higa of Portland, Ore.; four grandchildren. Alasdair Hoskins, 11, of Keaau died June 20 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a student at St. Joseph Elementary School. Private services. No flowers. The late Minako Nishino Tanimoto is survived by, among others, son Larry (Leslie) Tanimoto of Waikoloa. He is not the former mayor of Hawaii County of the same name, as was incorrectly stated in Wednesday’s edition. The Tribune-Herald regrets the error.
