The Hilo Blue Pinto All-Stars fell just short in the state PONY League baseball championship game Tuesday, falling to Mililani 5-4 in Kapolei, Oahu.

“They were a little sad,” coach Levon Stevens said of his ages 7-8 team, “but they are looking forward to playing again and what’s next.”

Stevens credited Knoxx Kailimai with his stellar play in the outfield, both with his glove – he caught for pop flys – and his arm. Kailimai threw out a runner at second.
