Doctors will decide today when Mayor Harry Kim will be able to leave the hospital, according to his spokeswoman.

Kim was taken to Hilo Medical Center early Saturday after suffering a mild heart attack.

That was Kim’s sixth heart attack, and his second in little more than a month after suffering one in late April.

Between Kim’s fifth and sixth heart attacks, the 78-year-old mayor was diagnosed with walking pneumonia in early May. On Friday, Kim was diagnosed with a relapse of pneumonia at the hospital but was released later that day with orders to rest.
