A single-story wood-frame home was destroyed by fire Sunday morning in Nanawale Estates.

According to a written Hawaii Fire Department statement, 10 units responded to the 7:58 a.m. alarm with the first arriving on scene at 14-3357 Hapuu Road at 8:11 a.m.

Arriving firefighters found the home, which was not readily visible from the road due to surrounding brush, completely engulfed in flames.

The cause of the blaze is listed as undetermined, with the loss estimated at $99,000.
