Margie A. Aki “Mama” Salis, 81, of Florida, formerly of Hawaii Island, died May 19 in Florida. Born in Kona, she was a retired pantry chef at the Hilton Waikoloa Village and former shop steward for the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 142 and loved gardening and playing slot machines in Las Vegas.
