Mabel “Momi” Kealaula Kailihou Jaentsch, 89, of Hilo died March 30 at Yukio Okutsu Veterans Home. Born in Lahaina, Maui, she was a retired licensed practical nurse for Rehabilitation Center of the Pacific, artistic painter, University of Hawaii at Hilo alumna, member of Hilo Church of God and the East Hawaii Cultural Center. Memorial services 9 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Hilo Church of God, 671 Waianuenue Ave. Casual attire. Survived by son, Phillip (Arlene) Jaentsch of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Jacqueline Jaentsch of Klamath Falls, Ore., Donnalyn Kalei of Hilo and Debra Ann (Donald) Leopoldo of Hilo; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Anita Leilani Lancaster, 76, of Keaau died May 14 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Maunaloa, Molokai, she was a retired registered nurse for Life Care Center of Hilo and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waikahe Ward. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Wednesday (June 6) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Visitation again 8:30-10 a.m. Thursday (June 7) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hilo Stake Center, 1373 Kilauea Ave. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Edward “Eddie” Arthur McCarron, 56, of Kailua-Kona died May 19 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Covina, Calif., he was a foreman for Maryl Construction Hawaii, member of Jackie Rey’s senior softball league, motorcyclist and former member of several motorcycle clubs. Celebration of life 6 p.m. Tuesday (June 5) at Living Stones Church lawn on Alii Drive, Kailua-Kona. Survived by wife, Christine McCarron of Kailua-Kona; sons, Brandon McCarron and Christopher McCarron of California; brother, Robert McCarron of California; sisters, Deborah McCarron and Paula McCarron of California; hanai sister, Colette Walton of Kailua-Kona; two grandchildren; a nephew. Shizuko Nakayama, 101, of Kohala died April 22 in Honolulu. Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Saturday (June 9) at Hawi Jodo Mission. No koden (monetary gifts).
