Artist and sculptor Randall Shiroma will give a presentation from 7-9 p.m. May 31 about his recent outdoor public works in Hawaii.

The presentation will be hosted by Volcano Art Center at the Ni‘aulani Campus in Volcano Village.

The evening will provide a wonderful opportunity to meet the artist as he shares his inspiration and processes behind his sculptures.

Shiroma graduated with a master of arts and master of fine arts in sculpture from San Jose State University in San Jose, Calif. He has been commissioned for various projects on the mainland and in Hawaii, including two from the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, the Hilton Towers in San Jose and the Four Seasons on Maui, to name a few.

Shiroma has participated in numerous solo as well as group exhibitions, and received awards and fellowships in California and Hawaii.

This event at VAC is free, although a $5 donation to the art center is greatly appreciated. For more information, call VAC at 967-8222 or visit www.volcanoartcenter.org.
