Helicopter rides to benefit evacuees

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters invites the community to take flight in support of its relief efforts for those affected by the recent Kilauea volcanic activity.

Now through June 30, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters will be offering 15-minute weekend introductory flights benefiting Pu‘uhonua o Puna, a community-driven and funded organization providing refuge for those displaced by the recent lava eruptions.

All proceeds will be donated to the charitable organization with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters matching the donation up to $5,000. The flights will depart from Blue Hawaiian’s Hilo base and run from 9 a.m.-noon every Saturday and Sunday, based on availability. Special pricing is offered at $40 per seat for adults and $20 per seat for children younger than 12.
