The East Hawaii Small Business Development Center announced its 2018 Hawaii Island Small Business Administration awardees who will be honored May 14 by the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce during its luncheon meeting at the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center.
The honorees are:
• Denise Laitinen of DLC Media LLC. Laitinen helps small businesses increase their bottom line by expanding their online presence and customizing her client’s social media strategy.
• Dawn Keanali‘i, owner of Liko Lehua Restaurant in Hilo. Dawn and Matt Keanali‘i have grown Liko Lehua from a maker of fine butters to become one of Hilo’s best-known family restaurants.
• Angie Rey and Paul Streiter, proprietors of Jackie Rey’s Ohana Grill in Kona and Hilo. The business started in Kona in 2004 and expanded to Hilo in 2016.
