Violet Leinani Santos Cho Bishop, 85, of Wailuku, Maui, formerly of South Kona and Honolulu, died April 29 at Hospice Maui. Born in South Kona, she was a homemaker and a retired certified nurse assistance. Private service held. Survived by daughters, Nora (George Sheridan) Cho Sheridan of Keaau, Donnafaye (Tommy) Gamurot of Kahului, Maui, and Lily (Edwin Kipu) Cho Kipu; son, Eugene (Cynnamon) Cho Jr. of Waiehu, Maui; brothers, Patrick (Chiyo) Bush Jr. of Honolulu and David Bush Sr. of Keaau; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mei Yeh Cheng, 71, of Kailua-Kona died April 25 at home. Born in Taiwan, she was office manager in the medical practice of her late husband, Dr. Minolu Cheng. Private services. Adam Thomas Dunaway Jr., 77, of Kailua-Kona died April 16 in Kailua-Kona. Born in Baltimore, he was a communications engineer at Stanford University and U.S. Army veteran. Services held. Patsy Keiko Shioji, 77, of Waimea died April 27 at home. Born in Waimea, she was a vegetable farmer and member of the Japanese Civic Association and Kamuela Hongwanji Mission. The late Basilisa Brilliantes Ocon was survived by, among others, son, Vincente (Macrina) Ocon of San Jose, California. His name wasn’t submitted for an obituary published Tuesday.
