Instructor Zach Mermel of Ola Design Group will teach the Landscaping with Native Hawaiian Plants workshop from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday (May 12) at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.

In this hand-on workshop, you’ll interact firsthand with a variety of native plants found throughout Hawaii Island’s various microclimates and learn how to integrate these ecosystems allies into your outdoor ecosystem.

Class fee is $35 or $30 for VAC members.
