Choose from titles such as “Avengers/Captain America,” “Disney Princess,” “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” “Pokemon,” “Adventure Time with Fionna &Cake,” “Star Wars Adventures” and more.

Comic book selections will vary by library.

Participating Hawaii Island libraries include Hilo, Kailua-Kona and Thelma Parker. Hilo library, at 300 Waianuenue Ave., will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Enjoy Comics will offer comic book grab bags with other surprises on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last, along with prize giveaways.

The store is located at 45 Pohaku St., Suite 201, and hours Saturday are 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Free Comic Book Day is celebrated worldwide on the first Saturday in May and participating libraries and comic book shops have given away millions of free comic books through the years.
