Lorita “Loretta” Daog Alidon, 96, of Waianae, Oahu, formerly of Mountain View, died April 9 at Wahiawa General Hospital on Oahu. Born in Paauilo, she was a retired picker for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co., cook’s helper at the former Paramount Grill and member of Filipino Federation of America. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Sunday (April 29) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Private family service and burial Monday (April 30). Survived by daughters, Julia Padayhag and Lillian Cabansag of Waianae, and Cris (Glenn) Hudman of Mountain View; sons, Richard (Viko Nguyen) Alidon of Hilo and Robert (Ehukai) Alidon of California; brother, Manuel Daog of Florida; sister-in-law, Harriet Daog of Hilo; 15 grandchildren, more than 30 great-grandchildren, more than 10 great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Diana Ewa Kahele, 70, of Hilo died March 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a loss prevention agent for the former Freeman Guards Hawaii, line worker for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. and Hamakua Macadamia Nut Co. and bus driver for Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Friday (April 27) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Saturday (April 28) at the mortuary. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by children, Kenneth Kalani (Tracey) DeCoito of Ka‘u, Tai Lee (Alani) Manufekai of Hilo and Wendell (Lisa) DeCoito of Waimea; sisters, Stella Kahele and Gladys Eva DeCoito of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Theresa Momi Kahele and Priscilla Kahele of Hilo; brother-in-law, Joseph Cho Jr. of Hilo; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
