Martin “Marty” Allen, 87, of Waimea died March 11 at his Holualoa family home. Born in Chicago, he was a retired personal assistant for the state of Hawaii Special Needs program, real estate developer, educator, triathlete, golfer and U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Service at noon Wednesday, May 2, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Celebration of life potluck immediately to follow at the Allens’ home in Holualoa. For information, call 938-3913 or 937-3753. Wayne Andersen, 70, of North Las Vegas, Nev., died March 4 at his brother’s home in Hilo. Born in New Jersey and reared in Newark, Calif., he was a long-haul trucker, bodybuilder who won Mr. Honolulu and Mr. South Pacific and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Private services held. Memorial donations to Hawaii Care Choices (formerly Hospice of Hilo). Survived by companion, Erin Shull of North Las Vegas; brother, Gary (Barbara) Andersen of Hilo; a niece, a nephew, two grandnieces and a grandnephew. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Robert “Sunshine” Queen, 69, of Hilo died April 8 in Hilo. Born in Massachusetts, he was a former employee of Ken’s House of Pancakes. Celebration of life at a later date. Elton “Tui” Suganuma, 67, of Hilo died March 28 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired marine cargo specialist for the state Department of Transportation Harbors Division. Survived by wife, Patricia Suganuma of Hilo; sons, Po‘ai (Ami) Suganuma of Keaukaha and Kailoa Suganuma of Prescott, Ariz.; daughters, Kapi‘o (Brandy) De Lima-Suganuma of Waiakea Uka and Lai‘eikawai (John) Suganuma of Kaumana; brothers, Leighton “La‘akea” (Momi) Suganuma and Lawton “Tani” (Virginia) Suganuma of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Elvine Mokihana Victorine, 76, of Hilo died April 8 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, she was a housewife, Miss Billfish 1961, member of Kaumana Kinney Heights Kumiai and the Women Comets Red fastpitch softball team.
