State Highways Division workers on Thursday remove debris deposited on Hilo Bayfront Highway by high surf. The highway was reopened on an intermittent basis while cleanup efforts were underway. Hilo Bayfront Park’s canoe houses remained closed, as did Coconut Island (Moku Ola) and all beach parks along the Keaukaha shoreline from Reeds Bay Beach Park to Richardson Ocean Park, including Puu Maile.
