Ballroom dance classes starting in Hilo

Try something new this spring by enrolling in Wednesday night dance night classes with the Big Island Ballroom Dance Club.

Classes are open to people of all ages and singles and couples are welcome.

Classes begin April 4 and will take place at the Church of the Holy Cross, 440 W. Lanikaula St. in Hilo. Instructors will teach the waltz and cha-cha.

Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and classes start at 7. The annual membership fee is $15. Each dance class is $9 for 10 weeks of lessons.

The lessons will prepare students for the club’s Anniversary Dance &Dinner scheduled for April 28 at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
