Cheyanne Lee Anderson, 38, of Captain Cook died Feb. 28 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in White Salmon, Wash., she was a customer service representative at Keoki’s Fish and Chips and member of Narcotics Anonymous. Celebration of life 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday (March 17) at Big Game Fishing Clubhouse at Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona. Scattering of ashes to follow. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by daughters, Kailee Anderson, Ember Anderson, Everdean Anderson and August Lee Anderson of Captain Cook; mother, Belinda Lee Anderson and stepfather, Norm Catton, of Captain Cook; brothers, Britt Anderson of Oregon, Casey Catton of Captain Cook, and Loke Anderson, Merlin Anderson and Doc Anderson of New Hampshire; sisters, Holly Anderson of Oregon and Kalina (Keoni) Llanes and Marika Anderson of Kona; maternal grandmother, Betty (John) Ash of Florida; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Meyer Goo, 96, of Kailua-Kona died March 7 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Lahaina, Maui, he was an electronics technician, member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, martial arts teacher, Coast Guard Auxiliary officer and U.S. Army World War II veteran. Memorial services at a later date. Survived by wife, Alice Goo of Kailua-Kona. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Else Ernestine Valeska Makizuru, 91, of Keaau died March 5 at Hawaii Care Choices’ Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Germany, she was a homemaker. Private family services. Survived by sons, Henry (Neva) Makizuru of Volcano and Timothy (Rosemary) Makizuru of Kailua, Oahu; daughter, Sandra (John) Connick of Keaau; sisters in Germany; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. John W. Tyler, 74, of Volcano died Jan. 23 at Hawaii Care Choices’ Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Boone, Iowa, he retired from the National Park Service and worked in numerous parks across the U.S. and Japan including Pu‘uhonua o Honaunau National Park as a park ranger, superintendent, instructor and assistant director of training, was active in Rotary Club of Volcano, a board member for Hawaii Pacific Parks Association and volunteer at Hospice of Hilo. No services planned. Memorial contributions to Hawaii Care Choices (formerly Hospice of Hilo). Survived by his wife, Karen Tyler of Volcano; sister, Margaret Welder of Madrid, Iowa; a niece and nephew. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
