Wayne Subica, owner and main historian of the Hawaii Plantation Museum, welcomed visitors Saturday during the museum’s fifth anniversary celebration in Papaikou. The museum, located in the old Onomea Sugar Plantation Store, was built in 1900. It serves as an education center and bridge to Hawaii Island’s past.
