A series of three “Conscious Aging” workshops will be offered starting in March at the Kokolulu Retreat Center in Hawi.

An initial meeting in mid-January attracted an enthusiastic room full of elders who explored the challenges and gifts of aging.

The workshops, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 11, April 8 and May 6, will feature an exploration of topics including attitudes, cultural conditioning and myths, completion of unfinished business, weaving our story, creating meaning, how we will die, and how we will live.

The programs will be facilitated by life coach Carolyn Mondress and registered nurse Karin Cooke, who “strongly believe in the wisdom and compassion of our elders in our communities and the world.”

For registration, information and directions, contact Mondress at 884-5134 or carolynmondress@yahoo.com.
